Damian Lillard Shares Photo After Achieving Goal of 100K Shots Made in 1 Year Amid Injury Rehab

It turns out Damian Lillard's shooting clinic that the Portland Trail Blazers posted about last week represents only a small fraction of what he has been doing as he looks to return to the court in peak form after missing the entire 2025-26 season.

Lillard revealed on his Instagram Story that he set a goal of making 100,000 shots in one year as part of his rehab process, starting on Sept. 1, 2025, and he surpassed it over the weekend.

The start date was just over four months after Lillard tore his Achilles in a playoff game for the Milwaukee Bucks. He had surgery to repair the injury on May 2, so he was already back in the gym getting up shots within four months.

Lillard, who returned to the Portland Trail Blazers as a free agent last summer, sat out all of last season. There has been no official word from the team about his availability when training camp opens on Sept. 29, but his recent social-media posting suggests he's ready to get back at it.
