Charlotte Bobcats jersey history No. 2 Dontell Jefferson 2008-2009
Dontell Jefferson played in just NBA games during his career, all of which came with the Charlotte Bobcats during the 2008-2009 season.
After playing two seasons of college basketball at Arkansas, Dontell Jefferson grinded his way into the NBA as an undrafted free agent. At age 25, Jefferson earned his first opportunity in the NBA after the Charlotte Bobcats signed him from the D-League at the end of March. Having signed a deal with less than a month to play in the regular season, Jefferson made just six appearances for the Bobcats, averaging 4.8 points, two rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks in 14 minutes per game.
Unfortunately for Jefferson, he wouldn't find another opportunity in the NBA afterward. That said, the former Razorbacks guard did play for different teams abroad, including some in Canada, Latvia and Saudi Arabia.
