Angel Reese Makes History, Final Box Score Stats & Highlights as Dream Beat Sun

Angel Reese picked up right where she left off.

After helping lead the United States to the gold medal in the 2026 FIBA World Cup, the Atlanta Dream forward was dominant during Thursday's 103-59 victory over the Connecticut Sun.

In fact, she made franchise history with a 30-10 performance and league history with another double-double:

Reese also tallied a 30-10 game when she posted 31 points, 14 rebounds and four steals during a victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Aug. 22.

Thursday marked her 30th double-double of the season, which was the WNBA record. It is a surprise at this point if she doesn't finish with a double-double as a rebounding machine who has taken steps as a scorer as well in Atlanta.

She entered Thursday's game averaging 16.1 points per game, which is a career-high mark before she scored 30 against the Sun.

While Reese was one of five players for the Dream who scored in double figures, she was also the only one who scored more than 10. Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Madina Okot and Te-Hina Paopao all scored 10 points each.

Things didn't get out of hand for Connecticut until the second half, as Atlanta was up 10 points at halftime. Yet the Dream dominated the third quarter 31-11 and never looked back for a game that featured very little drama.

Atlanta is now 27-14 on the season, which is fourth place in the WNBA standings and just a half-game behind the third-seeded Las Vegas Aces.

If Reese continues to play at this high of a level, the Dream could climb into that No. 3 seed and be in favorable position come playoff time.
