Warriors' Podziemski Could Crack ESPN's NBA Top 100 Next Season

Since entering the NBA as the 19th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Brandin Podziemski has carved out a solid role for himself within the Golden State Warriors rotation. He's proven himself to be a versatile talent capable of playing multiple positions and a range of roles. Yet, despite his versatility, Podziemski is often underrated by fans and the media alike.

Despite being overlooked for his contributions, ESPN's Zach Kram believes that if Podziemski can continue improving his game, he could break into ESPN's top-100 players by next summer.

"Even if Podziemski is unlikely ever to develop into a star, his all-around solid play makes him a valuable contributor," Kram wrote. "He can make open 3s, support Stephen Curry with secondary playmaking and hold his own on the defensive end. Even a moderate improvement in his age-23 season should place him firmly in Top 100 consideration next year."

Last season, Podziemski averaged 13.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists, shooting 53.1 percent from 2-point range and 37.1 percent from deep. Impressively, he played in all 82 regular-season games for Golden State, while posting a career-high 28.5 minutes per night.

Podziemski has become a key contributor for Kerr, emerging as a connector and high-level role player. It shouldn't take too much of a developmental leap for him to crack the NBA . Whether that changes how Podziemski is viewed by fans outside of the Warriors bubble is another question entirely, and in truth, shouldn't matter too much, especially if he helps Golden State make some noise in the postseason.
