Los Angeles led 38-15 after the first quarter. Reaves made two free throws to open the second period to give the Lakers a 25-point advantage.

Things went south in a hurry after that, as the Warriors tied the game going into halftime thanks to the same 38-15 scoring margin in the second quarter that Los Angeles had in the opening period.

Golden State would continue piling on by outscoring the Lakers 59-42 in the second half. The 17-point win for the Warriors marks a 42-point swing over the final 35:13 of game time after Los Angeles went up 40-15.

Per Evan Webeck of the California Post , this was the first game in the play-by-play tracking era (since 1996-97) in which a team tied the score at halftime after trailing by at least 25 points.

Weback also noted it was the largest margin of victory for a team that trailed in a game by at least 25 points.

The biggest difference in the game was bench scoring where the Warriors had a 50-7 advantage. Sandro Mamukelashvili and Quentin Grimes were the only reserves who scored for the Lakers. Collin Sexton went scoreless on 0-of-6 shooting in 16 minutes.

Golden State had seven different bench players score. De'Anthony Melton (16 points), Georges Niang (11 points) and Brandon Williams (nine points) outscored the Lakers bench on their own.

It also helped that Stephen Curry put up 31 points to help offset the 37-point outing for Luka Dončić.

The Lakers have lost two of their last three games following a 3-0 start. The Warriors have erased their 0-3 start with three consecutive victories.
