WNBA playoffs, Liberty-Dream score: Semifinals tip off, Allisha Gray ruled out with finger injury in Game 1

The WNBA semifinals have arrived, and the action gets going with a marquee matchup between the New York Liberty and Atlanta Dream to tip off the best-of-five series. Both teams are coming off first-round sweeps, so they have rest on their side as they vie for a trip to the 2026 Finals. The Liberty entered the playoffs as the No. 8 seed, but with a big three of Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones and Sabrina Ionescu, they're a formidable threat as they look to add to their 2024 WNBA championship. The Dream, meanwhile, are in their first semifinal round since 2018, led by Defensive Player of the Year Angel Reese, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard and veteran presence DeWanna Bonner.
