Caitlin Clark Talks Team USA Changes at FIBA World Cup After Last Game 'Wasn't Great at All'

After a narrow victory against Italy on Sunday, the United States responded with a dominant win over Czechia to advance to the knockout round of the FIBA World Cup.

Following the win, Caitlin Clark discussed the changes made after a rough performance.

"We were all kind of excited we had a back-to-back and could get out here and play again. Obviously after last night, didn't play our best, wasn't great at all,"Clark told TNT Sports' Allie LaForce (25-second mark). "Thought we were much better on the offensive end, played with a lot more pace tonight, played in transition better. Thought we were good on defense. Excited to have the bye and get ready for three more games."

The U.S. beat Italy 55-52 before trouncing Czechia 105-64 on Monday.

Clark finished with nine points and seven assists off the bench, and Breanna Stewart led the way for the United States with 19 points, seven boards and six assists.

The United States secured a bye to the quarterfinals and will face the winner of Japan and Hungary on Thursday.
