Penn State basketball vs Pitt updates, highlights, more from The Palestra

For the 150th time, the Nittany Lions and the Panthers will meet on the hardwood.

Penn State basketball and Pitt add another chapter to their rivalry as the two Pennsylvania teams will take the floor at 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, inside the Palestra. It is also the 100th anniversary of the Cathedral of College Basketball.

The Nittany Lions (2-0) have started strong with an almost entirely new roster in Mike Rhoades ' fourth season at the helm, coming off a dominant season-opening victory vs. Canisius before holding off Chattanooga inside the Bryce Jordan Center.

Meanwhile, Pitt (2-0) has also had an impressive start to the season, winning its home opener vs. Rider by nearly 40 points before another blowout against Buffalo. The Panthers also hold the recent edge over the Nittany Lions, winning last season's matchup 80-46 inside Hershey's Giant Center.
