Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese React to Winning 1st FIBA World Cup Gold Medal with USA in Trending Posts

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese added another accolade to their already impressive resumes on Sunday.

Clark, Reese and the United States took home a gold medal in the FIBA World Cup after taking down France 97-79 in the championship game. The Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream stars were hyped on social media following the win.

"We have to give France a lot of credit," Clark told reporters after the win. "They play with a lot of grit. They play with a lot of passion. They're aggressive. But I think we showed what wearing a USA jersey is all about. It's about dominating, and that's exactly what we did."

Clark came off the bench in the win and posted 12 points. Reese posted three points, three rebounds, one steal and one block.

Breanna Stewart led the way with 22 points and nine boards to take home MVP of the tournament.

Now having secured a gold medal with Team USA, Clark, Reese and the rest of the United States squad will return to their duties in the WNBA.

The Fever will be back in action on Friday against the Toronto Tempo, and the Dream will face the Connecticut Sun on Thursday.

Clark is having another tremendous year, posting 22.5 points and 8.4 assists per game for Indiana, which is currently in fifth place in the WNBA standings at 26-14.

Reese is also having another impressive season, averaging 16.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists for the Dream, which are fourth in the WNBA standings with a 26-14 record.
