Dwight Howard Hints at Joining D'Angelo Russell, JaVale McGee in China After NBA Exits

D'Angelo Russell and JaVale McGee are on their way to China to play for the Shanghai Sharks, and another former NBA star is contemplating joining them.

Dwight Howard said on social media Thursday that he "might have to join" Russell and McGee in China. He also said playing overseas is "more fun than the NBA."

Russell signed with the Sharks on Wednesday following his release from the Memphis Grizzlies. Russell's signing came hours after McGee inked a deal with the team.

Howard spent some time playing in Asia following the end of his NBA tenure, playing for the Taoyuan Leopards in 2022-23. He joined the SG Apes of The League in Mongolia for a preseason game, but it's unclear whether he'll play for them or another team this year.

It's no secret that Russell, McGee and Howard would likely prefer to play in the NBA, but it would be quite the show to see those three take the court together in China.
