Ahead of his last season on the court with the Philadelphia 76ers, LeBron James’ foundation reflects on his collaboration with Mercedes Maybach for the people of AkronLeBron James’ foundation has shared an update about the NBA icon partnering with Mercedes Maybach to raise more fundsA few hours ago, the 41 year old NBA legend’s foundation, the LeBron James Family Foundation, took to social media to open up about partnering with Mercedes Maybach, the proceeds of which will be used to help people in Akron.The post read as, “The dual emblems say it all: @kingjames called the play, and Mercedes-Maybach brought it to life…This exceptional [Mercedes-Maybach S-Class] will soon be offered at auction in support of the LeBron James Family Foundation.”The post added, “It's being showcased now until the 27th of September at Mercedes-Benz Studio Los Angeles. A one-of-a-kind story, made to make a difference.”For the unversed, a few days ago, the four time NBA champion LeBron James took to his social media to share his collaboration with Mercedes-Maybach.Two custom 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S 680 sedans, with the near-identical twin of his personal vehicle are being designed. While one will be the NBA legend’s personal car, the second one will be auctioned off and the proceeds from it will directly benefit the LeBron James Family Foundation.LeBron James has remained committed to helping and being there for the people from his hometown amid his immense successOver the last two decades, the former Los Angeles Lakers’ icon LeBron James has collaborated with philanthropists and luxurious brands to raise millions for the people of Akron.A few years ago, in an interview with ABC News, LeBron James said, “For me, to be able to go back into my community and have hands on, start kid by kid, block by block and street by street, and building that up, I feel like that helps us to make a change, ultimately, for the rest of us…”The four time NBA champion added, “We have a lot of parents here that didn't graduate high school," James told Nichols.
