The controversial ending to Game 2 of the New York Liberty-Atlanta Dream playoff game is still a hot topic of conversation, with Sophie Cunningham weighing in on Breanna Stewart's criticism of the officiating about a reset timeout.

On the latest episode of her No Hesitation podcast (starts at 48:50 mark), Cunningham reacted by saying "that's f--ked" after hearing Stewart's comments after the game.

The situation occurred in the final seconds of overtime with the Liberty trailing 101-98 after Angel Reese made two free throws. New York inbounded the ball and Stewart got a decent look from three to potentially tie the game, but the shot didn't fall as time expired.

Stewart told reporters after the game she was told by two refs that the Liberty didn't have a reset timeout remaining even though they did.

Liberty head coach Chris DeMarco said he was also told they did not have a reset timeout available.

In the pool report conducted by ESPN's Alexa Philippou , lead official Fatou Cissoko-Stephens said referee Kevin Fahy confirmed with his officiating partner New York had a timeout to use.

"Stewart was standing behind referee Fahy when he confirmed with his partner between Reese's penalty free throws that New York did indeed have a reset timeout remaining," Cissoko-Stephens explained.

Cissoko-Stephens added available timeouts are not tracked by officials. Instead, the scorer's table and statistical staff and teams are "responsible for managing and tracking their timeout usage throughout the game."

The Liberty filed an official inquiry with the WNBA about the situation, and the league will follow proper protocols to look into it.

Officiating has been a huge discussion point in the WNBA all season. Cunningham said on her podcast earlier this week one of the refs during the Indiana Fever's series with the Las Vegas Aces told her during Game 3 they "don't know the rules" in response to a situation in the second quarter involving Lexie Hull and Brianna Turner.

Atlanta's victory in Game 2 gave it a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series against New York. The two clubs will play Game 3 at Barclays Center on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

A win by the Dream would send them to the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2013.
