Jalen Brunson's 'Law & Order' Cameo Teased By Mariska Hargitay in New Photo Ahead of Knicks Season

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit lead star Mariska Hargitay teased a cameo by Jalen Brunson on Wednesday.

Hargitay posted a photo of herself and the New York Knicks star along with crew members on the set of Law & Order on Instagram .

Hargitay is a noted Knicks fan, frequently attending games at Madison Square Garden throughout their 2026 playoff run that ended with an NBA Finals victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Immediately after the Knicks ended the organization's 53-year championship drought, Brunson revealed that he wanted to make an appearance on Law & Order: SVU .

When asked what his next step was after hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy, the three-time All-Star said, "Try to go to SVU ."

Hargitay also hinted at Brunson's cameo on the show during a Thursday appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Brunson was a crucial piece of New York's 2026 playoff run, earning Eastern Conference Finals MVP honors before securing the Finals MVP award.

In the postseason, he averaged a league-leading 28.4 points to go along with 6.1 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Brunson shot 46.5 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from three point territory.

He also closed out New York's NBA Finals victory over the San Antonio Spurs on a high note, recording 32.6 points per game on 42.1/38.9/86.0 shooting splits during the series.

Brunson and the Knicks are now preparing to enter the 2026-27 season as defending champions. They'll open the year by facing the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 20.
