Tyrese Haliburton Returns from Injury, Box Score Player Stats, Highlights for Zion, Pacers, Pelicans
Welcome back, Tyrese Haliburton.
The star point guard led the Indiana Pacers to a 123-120 win over the New Orleans Pelicans in his first action since he tore his Achilles in Game 7 of the 2024-25 NBA Finals.
Here's a look at the game's key performers:
For Pacers fans, seeing Haliburton back on the floor and running the offense was always going to be a major positive, and he was certainly up to his old tricks:
Likewise, New Orleans fans had to be thrilled to see Williamson on the court and looking healthy. His availability remains one of the biggest keys to their entire season.
The Pelicans are going to lament losing this game. They got to the free-throw line 37 times and turned it into 34 points, out-rebounded the Pacers by a 50-42 margin (pulling down 15 offensive boards) and had seven different players score double-digit points. They led by as many as 12 points early in the second half, but the Pacers came storming back.
That was largely down to excellent team basketball (29 assists). Indiana's playmaking, pace and depth is going to give teams issues—much like it did in their run to the NBA Finals two seasons ago—if they can stay healthy. With Haliburton back in action, the Pacers are a threat.
