Stephen Curry’s mom Sonya Curry offers a fresh glimpse into her summer, sharing personal moments that gave fans a closer look at her life

Sonya Curry waited for fall to arrive before showing off her summer. The Instagram Reel she posted in early October opens on a sunny stretch of ocean, with yachts in the distance, a jet ski close by and bold orange text across the screen. The mother of NBA star Stephen Curry kept her caption short: "Since it's officially fall… here's what you missed!! Summer 2026!!" Family and followers filled the comments quickly, and her daughter Sydel Curry-Lee was among them. What Sonya Curry's summer 2026 recap video showsSonya Curry posted the montage on her Instagram page, @sacurry22, just as the season turned. She is an author and speaker as well as the mother of Stephen Curry, and this video leans into the lighter side of her year. The cover frame revealed the intensity of the video to her 233K followers. The camera looks out from a boat or yacht over deep blue water, other yachts float farther back, and a jet ski cuts across the scene. An orange overlay reads "summer 2026 recap," so nobody has to guess what they are about to watch.Inside, the clips move fast. Boat time takes up much of the footage, and the whole thing points to a summer built around water, friends and family. Sydel Curry-Lee shows up in several frames. The Reel does not name a single occasion, and the caption gives no list of places or dates.Posting after the season changed gives the video the feel of a look back. The caption plays along by telling followers exactly what they missed. How Sonya Curry's family and followers reacted to her summer recapWithin roughly an hour, the comment section read like a busy group chat.
