Angel Reese's double-double milestone was the lone bright spot on a rough night for the Atlanta Dream.

The Dream, who closed as a 12.5-point favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook, fell 101-83 to the Portland Fire.

In the defeat, Reese tied Alyssa Thomas' single-season record of 28 double-doubles.

Reese and the Dream played from behind for most of the night against the expansion side.

Portland jumped out to a 28-18 advantage and never let go of the lead.

Reese had another productive individual night with 16 points, 16 rebounds and six assists.

Reese recorded her sixth double-double in a row and second against Portland this season.

She was also active in the assist department with six helpers. She's had six or more assists in three of her last six games.

Eight of the 16 boards pulled down by Reese came on the offensive side of the court.

Reese, Rhyne Howard and Jordin Canada powered a second-half surge on offense, but it was not enough for the Dream to pull back ahead of the Fire.

Reese also picked up her eighth technical foul of the season in the defeat. That means she is suspended for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Lynx unless it is rescinded.
