The Dallas Wings have claimed a Game 2 win against the Golden State Valkyries behind a historic performance by Arike Ogunbowale .
The WNBA Playoffs have already produced some iconic performances from names like A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart , and Caitlin Clark .
Add Arike Ogunbowale's name to the list. The Dallas Wings guard went off in a thrilling 108-100 overtime win over the Golden State Valkyries in Game 2.
Not only did Ogunbowale outshine everyone on the court and make some incredible clutch plays, she also wrote her name into the WNBA history books.
Arike Ogunbowale's 45 points are the most any WNBA player has ever scored in a single playoff game
Ogunbowale had a whopping 45 points on the night, to go along with seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals. She shot over 50 percent from the field, also making five three-pointers.
The 29-year-old was incredibly clutch too, hitting an incredible shot to tie the game with four seconds left and send it to overtime. Her performance was literally something fans have never seen before.
Ogunbowale broke a record that has stood since 2010, when Angel McCoughtry of the Atlanta Dream scored 42 points against the New York Liberty .
To do it an elimination game against the second seed is nothing short of spectacular, too. The Wings have now given themselves a shot to actually advance to the next round of the playoffs.
What makes it even better is that the Valkyries defense is widely considered to be the league's best. Neither Ogunbowale, nor WNBA fans will forget her electric performance any time soon.
