AJ Dybantsa's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights from Pistons vs. Wizards Preseason

AJ Dybantsa made his second career preseason appearance as the Washington Wizards secured a 114-108 win over the Detroit Pistons in overtime on Saturday night.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft ended up playing 23 minutes in the victory.

Dybantsa shot 4-of-8 on two-point field goals, but missed both of his attempts from behind the arc.

He was still able to consistently draw contact, connecting on six of his game-high 10 free throw attempts.

Dybantsa's speed with the ball in his hands should help Washington establish themselves as one of the NBA's most efficient teams in transition. The Wizards finished with 23 fast-break points on Saturday compared to just nine for the Pistons.

While Dybantsa still has some room to grow defensively, his ability to disrupt passing lanes has been noticeable to begin the preseason. He's already racked up five steals through two contests.

The Wizards' next preseason game is against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. ET.
