Giannis Antetokounmpo made his preseason debut for the Miami Heat on Saturday night.
Antetokounmpo played 14 minutes in the first half of Miami's clash with the Toronto Raptors in Québec City after the Heat acquired him in a blockbuster trade with the Milwaukee Bucks on June 22.
Here's a closer look at how he fared through two quarters.
Antetokounmpo didn't appear to have any issue building chemistry with his new teammates, as he routinely kicked the ball out to open shooters after drawing extra defensive attention inside the arc.
His seven assists came against just two turnovers.
Antetokounmpo showcased his efficient scoring ability around the rim while also expanding his range, connecting on a one-legged fadeaway.
The Heat are coming off a 2025-26 campaign in which they missed the playoffs with a 43-39 record, but are looking to climb up the Eastern Conference standings with the two-time MVP in the mix.
Antetokounmpo appeared in 36 contests last season, averaging 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 0.9 steals per game while shooting 62.4 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point territory.
The Heat will open the 2026-27 regular season against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 21.
