Coachella Valley Lakers release schedule, will debut on Nov. 6

The inaugural season of the Coachella Valley Lakers, the NBA G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers , now has a roadmap as the team revealed its schedule for the 2026-27 season on Friday.

The first-ever game for the CV Lakers will be Friday, Nov. 6 at Acrisure Arena against the Salt Lake City Stars. In all, the CV Lakers will play 24 home games from November to March with the final regular season home game coming on Wednesday, March 18.

All home weeknight games will begin at 7 p.m. while Sunday game times are set for a 3 p.m. tip-off. The breakdown by month shows six home games in November, just two in December, six in January, seven in February and three in March.

The roster, and even the head coach, of the Coachella Valley Lakers are still not known, but fans now know when they can see their new home-town pro basketball team play. The team was known as the South Bay Lakers last year and played their home games in Los Angeles.

Fans can already purchase season tickets and individual game ticket sales will be available soon.

There are 31 NBA G League teams, one for each of the 30 NBA teams and one from Mexico City. The CV Lakers will host that Mexico City team on Feb. 25-26. In all, the CV Lakers will host 12 of the 31 G League teams, including Salt Lake City (Jazz affiliate), San Diego (Clippers), Stockton (Kings), Rip City (Trail Blazers), Valley (Suns), Oklahoma City (Thunder), Santa Cruz (Warriors), Texas (Mavericks), Motor City (Pistons), Memphis (Grizzlies) and Rio Grande Valley (Rockets).

Acrisrue Arena, which is in Palm Desert and opened in 2022, seats about 11,000 fans for basketball. It is the new home of the CV Lakers, but also houses the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League whose season is played simultaneously. That likely made for some intricate scheduling for the arena organizers.
