76ers' Jaylen Brown Drops Epic Quote About 'Fearlessness' and Opens Up About Legacy

In the lead up to his first training camp as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, Jaylen Brown has offered some insight into his mindset as he thinks about his legacy in the NBA.

Attached to a video clip from The Hollywood Reporter featuring Brown and Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali, the Sixers star wrote on X that "fearlessness is contagious."

In the video, Brown explained he's "not here for entertainment" and his legacy is helping to "inspire the next generation to be fearless."

Brown is known for having a serious approach to everything he does. Fox Sports' Colin Cowherd cited NBA sources who said Brown thinks he is "the smartest guy in any room he's in."

The report prompted Brown to humorously respond that the bar in sports for that is "f--king low."

The mindset Brown takes with him onto the court has made him incredibly successful. His resume through 10 NBA seasons includes five All-Star appearances, two All-NBA selections and an NBA Finals MVP.

Brown might also have a larger chip than usual on his shoulder going into the 2026-27 season after being traded by the Boston Celtics to their rivals in Philadelphia.

Since the Sixers tip off the season against the defending NBA champion New York Knicks on Oct. 20, Brown will get the chance to make his presence on the new-look Philly roster felt right out of the gate.
