Will Victor Wembanayama and the Spurs play in front of sold-out arenas in Europe?

Victor Wembanyama and Co. are a hot ticket on two continents.

The Spurs will play their two games in Europe this season in front of sold-out crowds, reflecting the popularity of the Wembanyama-led defending Western Conference champions, the NBA announced Tuesday.

Per the league, approximately one million fans registered their interest in tickets, marking the highest level of demand ever recorded for NBA games in Europe.

The Spurs, who are expected to again compete for the NBA title this season after losing in five games to New York in the Finals last season, are set to face the New Orleans Pelicans in regular season games on Jan. 14 at Accor Arena in Paris and on Jan. 17 at Co-op Live in Manchester, England, as part of the league's multi-year slate of regular season games in Europe.

Both events will stream live on Amazon Prime Video.

The Spurs are no strangers to Europe, having played two games in Paris in January 2025 against the Indiana Pacers in a much-anticipated series that marked Wembanyama's first action as an NBA player in his home country.

"I'm sure it'll be a great trip," Spurs coach Mitch Johnson said in May after the NBA announced the Spurs would be returning to Europe. "(We're) always looking forward to expanding the game and being part of the cool process of being able to play outside the country."

With French fans cheering his every step during the 2025 trip, Wembanyama hosted a dinner and a shopping spree for the Spurs in the City of Light before guiding the team through his hometown of Le Chasnay on the outskirts of Paris.

The trip left lasting memories, several players said.

"Oh, man, I love Paris," forward Julian Champagnie said. "It was a great experience. The people are great. The fans are great. The place is great. Obviously, I've never been to Manchester. I'm excited to go, though. It's going to be fun. I think we're up for it."
