Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards took a shot at the King, but it appears he missed.
After Edwards poked fun at Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James in an Adidas commercial for his latest signature shoe, James responded to the youngster during Tuesday's episode of his Mind the Game podcast (1:00 mark) and explained why he was unfazed by the barbs.
"First of all, I didn't watch the spot, because I don't watch anything from the stripes. Nothing. Love Ant to death, but I don't watch s--t from the stripes, I just don't. So I don't even know what he actually said." James told co-host Steve Nash. "... I think it said, 'He's old, too old, didn't want his knees to be cold.' But then I was like, 'But I went to Philly, Ant, so how are my knees gonna be warm in Philly?' ... He just read off the teleprompter."
James wasn't the only star that Edwards trolled in his commercial, which was premised on the 25-year-old hosting his own sketch show. Sixers star guard Jaylen Brown and Edwards' new teammate LaMelo Ball also caught some strays.
James and Edwards won't meet on the court for quite some time, as the Sixers and Timberwolves' first matchup this season is scheduled for Jan. 12.
