Inside LeBron James and Savannah’s Los Angeles home: The NBA superstar and his wife give fans a rare glimpse into their private world beyond basketball and fame

The four-time champion arrives after a video tour of the Los Angeles home James shares with wife Savannah, released by Vogue on Tuesday as part of its Objects of Affection series. It opens with a hyperbaric chamber used for postgame recovery. Four title trophies, a Basquiat painting and a LeBron James Edition Mercedes-Maybach follow. James also talks about sleep, media scrutiny and the lessons sport has delivered, all ahead of a first game in a new uniform.LeBron James and Savannah open the doors to their Los Angeles home in a house tourThe first stop is a Vitaeris hyperbaric chamber, and James opens the tour with a joke about it: “This one has been in the family for a long time.” Savannah is not a fan. “It’s a little bit too small and claustrophobic for my wife,” James said, which leaves the chamber to James alone.“My a** go to sleep when I get in there,” James said. “I don’t want to talk to nobody, see nobody, hear from nobody.” For a player about to start a season with a new team, a sealed pod and a lot of sleep sounds like a sensible plan.The mantel adds career context. Four NBA championship trophies sit there, the first from 2012 with the Miami Heat. Leaving Cleveland for Miami brought heavy media scrutiny at the time, and James looked back on the payoff in plain terms: “When you put in work and you get the reward, it was definitely gratifying.” Another line from the tour fits a debut night in a new city. “Sports have taught me so much about life.”What else did James show in the Vogue home tour?James pulls out a Louis Vuitton jean jacket with no obvious label, and Savannah explains the idea behind it. “We love a quiet luxury moment,” she said, before showing her “not-so-quiet” Ugg x Palace slides. James adds, “We like stuff that feels good and looks good on us.”The home also holds a Jean-Michel Basquiat piece called “Minor Success.” James describes it as one of the first works where the late artist began drawing crowns.Recovery shows up again at the cold plunge. James calls it “one of the best places in the house.” Savannah does not agree with that. “It’s too cold,” she said, and added that James can stay in the longest.The kitchen is where the tour turns lighter. A “Dessert Row” holds rainbow confetti mini-cakes, brownies, donuts and cookies. When James points to a chocolate cake, the joke is easy: “You need a Willy Wonka golden ticket for that.” Savannah says the biggest offender on the row is her husband, who eats chocolate-chip cookies, chocolate cake and ice cream every day.The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 is a LeBron James Edition, one of two.
