New NBA Rumors on Potential Kevin Love, T-Wolves Reunion After Jonathan Kuminga Contract

A potential reunion between Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves could be in the works.

The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski said this week that both sides have some level of interest in working out a deal before the start of the 2026-27 campaign.

"From what I understand, Kevin Love is open to coming back to Minnesota. I do think the Wolves have some interest in bringing him back as well," Krawczynski said on his podcast (h/t HoopsHype ). "It would just be a phenomenal story if the Wolves did decide to fill that spot, and they did it with Kevin Love."

Love, 37, started his career with the Timberwolves in 2008 and had some of his best seasons in Minnesota. He was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers ahead of the 2015 campaign, and he'd go on to win a title alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

Love has since bounced around, spending a few years with the Miami Heat before playing for the Utah Jazz last season. Now, he's a free agent and has the chance to decide where he'll spend what could be his last season.

While Love is far from his prime, he could still be a solid option off the bench for Minnesota. More importantly, he could be a veteran voice on a team full of young talent.
