Caitlin Clark Posts Career-Low, Box Score Stats, Highlights as Lynx Beat Fever in Season Finale

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever lost playoff seeding ground and Aliyah Boston to injury during Thursday night's regular-season finale.

The Fever will enter the postseason as the WNBA's No. 6 seed after conceding a 86-66 blowout loss to a Minnesota Lynx team missing star rookie Olivia Miles.

Clark recorded career lows in the loss with two points, no three-pointers and 8.3 percent shooting from the field.

Boston exited the game in the second quarter and was later ruled out with a right lower leg injury.

Here's a look at highlights from a Thursday matchup that will shape the first round of the WNBA postseason.

Shortly after Sophie Cunningham said her team needed to work on faster starts, the Fever recorded one of their slowest first halves of the season against a team that has already clinched the WNBA's top seed.

The Lynx opened scoring with a Maya Caldwell three-pointer, which Clark answered with her lone field goal of the game. The Fever went on to get outscored 21-4 in the opening minutes.

Indiana could not contain the Lynx's three-point shooting as the home team went 11-for-18 from behind the arc through twenty minutes.

The Fever, on the other hand, made three of 21 attempts from deep as the Lynx surged out to a 30-point halftime lead.

Natasha Howard and Kayla McBride had combined for more points (34) than the entirety of the Fever (32) by the break.

The Fever outscored the Lynx 25-10 in the fourth quarter but were unable to make up ground from the early deficit.

Indiana finished the game having shot 34 percent from the field and 16 percent from deep.

The Fever will now wait for an injury update on Boston while preparing to potentially start out the postseason against the defending WNBA champions.

Thursday's loss, combined with the Washington Mystics' victory over the Chicago Sky the same night, will drop the Fever in the WNBA's playoff seeding from No. 5 to No. 6.

Instead of the Atlanta Dream, Fever will now be slated to take on either the Las Vegas Aces or Golden State Valkyries when the postseason tips off this Sunday.

If the Aces claim a Thursday night win over the Phoenix Mercury, Las Vegas will secure the No. 2 seed. The Valkyries could alternatively lock in a first-round matchup against the Fever with a win over the Los Angeles Sparks or an Aces loss.
