Jalen Brunson Reacts to Praise from LeBron James, NBA Stars After Leading Knicks to Historic Title

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson appreciates the praise various superstars have given him and his team during media days this week.

Philadelphia 76ers superstar LeBron James gave "much respect" to the Knicks and Brunson during his media day availability, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin , amid comments about why he didn't join New York in free agency (in essence, the Knicks were off the table after they won the championship).

"But much respect to the Knicks, obviously," James said. "An unbelievable team, unbelievable players. Shout out Jalen Brunson. I love that guy, he's unbelievable. But, yeah, I'm happy where I'm at, and I'm looking forward to it."

Miami Heat superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo also shouted out the Knicks and Brunson.

The Knicks just won their first NBA title in 53 years, led by Brunson. The three-time All-NBA guard averaged an NBA-high 28.4 points in the playoffs en route to the NBA Finals MVP award. New York also went 16-3 in the playoffs, including victories in 15 of its last 16 games.

New York opens its title defense on Tuesday, Oct. 20, vs. the 76ers.
