Jalen Brunson, KAT React to Knicks' 1st Win of Season Amid NBA Title Hangover Concerns

The New York Knicks got off to a slow start in the 2026-27 season, losing their first three games. Insinuations of a championship hangover following last season's title started floating about.

But New York broke the losing streak on Tuesday night, beating the Detroit Pistons 111-97 after recovering from a rough first quarter. Following the contest, Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns spoke about getting that first dub:

The Knicks had a pair of four-game losing streaks last season, so losing on Tuesday night wouldn't have been the end of the world. But the last thing the Knicks or their fans wanted was some early-season panic after the celebrations over the summer.

So for now, at least, crisis averted. Unless the team doesn't start stacking wins, of course.
