Tacko Fall, Jameer Nelson Jr. Sign 76ers Contracts, Latest NBA Rumors Reveal Details

One of the tallest players in NBA history will audition to join LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers this season.

Tacko Fall has signed with the Sixers ahead of training camp later this month, the team announced Tuesday. The deal is an Exhibit 10 contract, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin .

The 76ers also signed Saint Thomas and Jameer Nelson Jr., son of former NBA All-Star and Sixers EVP of basketball operations Jameer Nelson. These contracts are also Exhibit 10 deals, per McMenamin.

Exhibit 10 contracts, which can be converted into two-way deals, allow teams to bring in players to compete for NBA for G League roster spots on one-year, non-guaranteed contracts, per Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman.

Fall, Nelson and Thomas will participate in Sixers training camp on these deals, according to McMenamin.

NBA teams can hand out two-way contracts to three players each season. The Sixers had a pair of these roster spots remaining after signing Caleb Love, a two-way player for the Portland Trail Blazers last season, earlier this offseason.

After four years with the University of Central Florida, Fall appeared in 26 games with the Boston Celtics and 11 with the Cleveland Cavaliers when playing in the NBA from 2019 to 2022.

The 7-foot-6 big man averaged 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per game during that stretch. He played last season for the Chinese Basketball Association's Ningbo Rockets, averaging 11.2 points on 80.1 percent shooting through 38 games.

Nelson, a point guard who closed out his college career with TCU in 2024, spent most of last season with the G League's Stockton Kings. He averaged 19.9 points on 46.5 percent shooting from the field through 11 regular-season games with the team.

His father was promoted to his current role in June after previously serving as assistant general manager and now serves as the franchise's top executive behind president Mike Gansey, according to ESPN's Shams Charania .

Nelson signed Exhibit 10 contracts with the San Antonio Spurs in 2024 and the Sacramento Kings in 2025 but has yet to make his NBA regular-season debut.

Thomas finished out his college career with USC as a graduate transfer in 2024-25. He first signed with the Sixers on a Summer League deal after going unselected in the 2025 draft.

The forward most recently averaged 12.5 points on 46.5 percent shooting in 36 regular-season games for the Sixers' G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats.

Teams not set to travel internationally during the preseason are set to begin training camp Sept. 29. The Sixers are then scheduled to open the season Oct. 20 with a road game against the defending champion New York Knicks.
