FIBA Women's World Cup 2026 Awards as Breanna Stewart Wins MVP After USA Wins Gold

FIBA named Team USA superstar Breanna Stewart as the Women's Basketball World Cup MVP on Sunday after the Americans won the gold medal game over France, 97-79, claiming a fifth straight World Cup title in the process.

Stewart posted 22 points, nine rebounds and three assists in Sunday's victory.

She finished the tournament averaging 12.8 points, 7.3 and 2.8 assists, doing a bit of everything for Team USA. She also saved some of her best offensive performances for last, putting up 16 points against Spain in the semifinals and 22 points in the final.

She was fantastic in the tournament, averaging 17.5 points, 4.2 assists and 2.2 steals per contest.
