UH basketball schedule for 2026-27 set as Big 12 completes conference play

The Cougars open Big 12 play at home on Jan. 2 against TCU as part of a tough stretch of conference games.

The University of Houston hosts TCU on Jan. 2 to open Big 12 play, part of a loaded opening month of conference games.

After hosting the Horned Frogs, UH's January home schedule includes Iowa State (Jan. 13), Texas Tech (Jan. 19), BYU (Jan. 30) and Kansas (March 1), according to the 18-game Big 12 schedule released Thursday.

The remaining home schedule includes Utah (Feb. 13), Oklahoma State (Feb. 21), Colorado (Feb. 24) and Arizona (March 6) to close the regular season.

Road games include Kansas State (Jan. 5), Baylor (Jan. 10), Colorado (Jan. 16), Arizona State (Jan. 23), Arizona (Feb. 6), UCF (Feb. 10), Texas Tech (Feb. 15), West Virginia (Feb. 27) and Cincinnati (March 2).

UH plays seven home non-conference games: La Salle (Nov. 2), Jacksonville State (Nov. 11), Oakland (Nov. 27), Queens (Nov. 29), Central Arkansas (Dec. 2), Texas State (Dec. 5) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Dec. 29).

The non-conference schedule also includes three games at the Players Era Championship Nov. 17-19, with Rutgers and either Florida or Notre Dame. UH will play California in Lake Tahoe, Nev. (Nov. 8), Alabama at Madison Square Garden (Dec. 8) and Florida State in Jacksonville, Fla. (Dec. 20). For the third straight year, UH will play a game at Toyota Center against LSU on Dec. 13.
