Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, A'ja Wilson's Box Score Stats, Highlights as Aces Beat Fever

The Las Vegas Aces opened their march to a second straight WNBA championship and fourth in five years with an emphatic victory over the Indiana Fever.

The third-seeded Aces cruised to a 102-85 win over the sixth-seeded Fever in Sunday's Game 1 behind a dominant performance by four-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson, who finished with 38 points on 15-of-19 shooting, 16 rebounds and four blocks.

Caitlin Clark posts career low in blowout loss

While Wilson rose to the occasion for Las Vegas, Indiana star guard Caitlin Clark was held in check with just 15 points on 6-of-17 shooting while adding 10 assists. Center Aliyah Boston led the Fever with 18 points, while Sophie Cunningham chipped in 13 points off the bench.

The Fever won the regular-season series against the Aces 2-1, but it didn't look that way in Sunday's playoff matchup. Indiana's largest lead was just two points, and the team failed to go in front again after leading 16-14 in the first quarter.

For Las Vegas, it was the Wilson Show, as the 30-year-old showcased her elite scoring and rebounding skills throughout the game as she punished Indiana on both ends of the floor.

In addition to Wilson's strong performance, the Aces got a 21-point, 10-assist double-double from star guard Jackie Young. Veteran floor general Chelsea Gray also added 14 points and eight assists in the victory.

Wilson and the Aces will try to close out the best-of-three series against the Fever on the road in Tuesday's Game 2.
