4-time NBA Champion raves about Caleb Wilson

Basketball superstar Caleb Wilson started turning heads ever since he stepped onto UNC's campus, even when he isn't playing.

Wilson initially chose the Tar Heels over Kentucky , giving former head coach Hubert Davis his greatest recruiting victory. That decision proved to be instrumental for North Carolina, which went a perfect 18-0 at home, while Wilson became arguably the best player in college hoops.

Wilson continued showcasing himself worthy of the Chicago Bulls ' fourth overall pick, setting an NBA Summer League debut record for points . Wilson played so well that Horace Grant, a 7-time NBA Champion and former Michael Jordan Bulls teammate, compared Wilson to franchise legend Derrick Rose.

Wilson ended his lone season at UNC with First-Team All-ACC and All-Rookie Team honors , nearly averaging a double-double with 19.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. The Tar Heels looked like a National Championship contender until Wilson injured himself, first in a loss to Miami (FL) and second leading up to the March 7 rematch with Duke .
