Little League World Series 2026 Friday Scores, Bracket Results and Highlights

The 2026 Little League World Series continued Friday with a loaded slate after rain delays pushed back a handful of games.

That meant there were eight games on schedule with four international matches and four between American teams.

Mexico wasted no time pushing three runs across the board in the first inning and never looked back on the way to a commanding 7-1 victory over Australia.

Jorge Fonseca led the way with three runs scored, while Gareth Garcia notched two RBI. Mexico also used plenty of small ball to generate the runs and capitalized on its opportunities.

Fonseca did more than just score offensively.

He also struck out six and allowed just two hits in three shutout innings on the mound. From there, Esteban Bautista and Paul Lavenant combined to allow just one run in the final three innings.

The day's first real dramatics came in Nevada's 6-5 victory over Ohio.

Both teams battled back and forth throughout the game, but Nevada had the last chance at the plate. And it took full advantage when Hudson Cowley delivered a walk-off single to play the role of hero.

Ohio built a 2-0 lead and then a 5-2 advantage, but Nevada continued to battle back. The victors scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth, another in the bottom of the fifth and the winner in the sixth.

Maddox Bryan also played well with two hits and two RBI before Cowley ended things with his hit.

Iowa didn't just defeat California 1-0 in Friday's matchup.

Cooper Thissen did much of the heavy lifting in the combined no-hitter with 15 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. However, Anthony Johnson Jr. had to finish the job and did so in clutch fashion with a bases-loaded strikeout to end the game and preserve the 1-0 advantage.

Pitching like that would have been enough to make Thissen the hero, but he also delivered a solo homer in the first inning for the game's only run.

It was a Shohei Ohtani-like performance from the two-way star, and Iowa came away with the win as a result.

The combined no-hitters weren't limited to the United States side of the bracket.

Curaçao defeated Japan 6-0 and didn't allow a single hit in the process. Jaymiell Martina started things by striking out seven in 4.2 innings of work, while Giendry Ryan struck out four in the final 1.1 innings to put the finishing touches on the masterpiece.

Curaçao didn't need much offense with the pitching brilliance leading the way, but it got plenty on the way to six runs.

Steven Felix notched two RBI, while Raymiel Antonia went 2-for-2 with a run scored.

It would have been difficult to script a more dramatic finish to Washington's 4-3 victory over Texas than what unfolded Friday.

It seemed as if Texas was going to win with some late-game heroics when it loaded the bases with nobody out in the bottom half of the sixth inning, but pitcher Kasen Workman escaped the jam by inducing two groundouts and a fly out to secure the win.

Paxton Hansen also pitched a shutout inning in relief for Washington, which helped it preserve its early advantage.

Workman made an impact offensively with two RBI as well, while Winston Weaver and Evan Yarbrough each notched an RBI as well.

Nicaragua's 6-4 victory over Panama marked yet another game that came down to the final batter in Friday's slate.

First, Nicaragua scored four runs in the top half of the sixth inning to take the 6-3 lead. However, Panama pushed a run across in the bottom half of the frame and had the bases loaded before Nicaragua won it with a play at the plate on a wild pitch.

Kendry Arauz Roque drove in two runs with the bat and pitched the first 3.2 innings for the victors, while Moises Estrada Juarez allowed just one run in two innings.

Lucas Olmos and Jadhier Rivera each had two hits for Panama, but it wasn't enough to overcome the final deficit.

New Jersey took an early lead and never relinquished it during a 3-1 victory over Pennsylvania.

In the bottom of the second inning, New Jersey gained a 2-0 advantage after Jett Bridges scored on a wild pitch and Joey Dwyer drove in AJ Tapia with a single.

New Jersey struck again in the bottom of the fourth, as Mason Rincon hit a solo home run to right field.

Pennsylvania finally responded once Dillon DiGiulio scored on an error in the fifth inning. The team also had runners at second and third in the same frame, but couldn't drive them in.

New Jersey ultimately held on for the win, as Chase Klimkowski pitched 5.1 innings without allowing an earned run. Klimkowski also recorded six strikeouts.

Led by a dominant pitching performance, Korea took down Czechia in the final matchup of the day.

Both teams were tied 0-0 through two innings of action, although Korea took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third.

After Ki Hyun Jung opened the inning with a single and advanced to second on an error, he stole third and scored on a wild pitch to give his team an early advantage.

Another error allowed Ju Won Kim to score in the top of the fifth inning before Korea added three insurance runs in the sixth, highlighted by a two-run homer from Hyun Been Han.

Do Yoon Kim, Ha Jun Ju and Ji Hwan Hong combined to allow just one hit in six scoreless innings of work while racking up 11 total strikeouts.
