Justin Verlander Honored by Tigers With Custom Shirts in Photos Ahead of Final Start of MLB Career

The Detroit Tigers dressed for the occasion of Justin Verlander's final MLB start.

Tigers players arrived at Comerica Park wearing custom t-shirts printed with photos of Verlander before the pitcher closed out his career with a Saturday start against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Tigers also shared a tribute video in Verlander's honor ahead of the 21-year MLB veteran's final appearance on the mound.

Verlander, who began his MLB career with the Tigers in 2005, returned to Detroit the injured list and announced his intention to retire in July.

The three-time Cy Young Award winner and two-time World Series champion was honored Friday with a pregame retirement ceremony at Comerica Park.
