SeaWolves ready to begin their fifth straight post season

Crowds filled the stands at UPMC Park as the Erie SeaWolves began another postseason.

The Minor League Baseball team has reached a milestone, making the playoffs for five straight years. It was a special night at UPMC Park, game one of the playoffs.

The SeaWolves are no stranger to their first-round opponents, the Richmond Flying Squirrels, but fans Tuesday night were hoping for a win for our home team.

"We had people here at nine am working hard and getting everything ready, from hospitality areas to on the field and the grounds crew working, so we're all getting our hours in and making sure UPMC Park is ready for this game one of the Southwest Division Series," said Laina Banic, the marketing director for the Erie SeaWolves.

The very last possible home game of the season is potentially Sunday if they win the Southwest Division. Then they would move on to play the Northeast winner.
