Watch Willson Contreras' Bizarre At-Bat After Umpire's Ruling in New Trending Video

Boston Red Sox star Willson Contreras mounted little resistance during one at-bat in Saturday's rehab assignment game with the Portland Sea Dogs.

After a pitch went well wide of the plate, Contreras stepped out of the box and attempted to put more pine tar on his bat. The home plate umpire wasn't having it, and the four-time All-Star seemed to initiate his own form of protest.

Contreras didn't take the bat off his shoulder and struck out looking. He went 0-for-3 in Portland's 1-0 win.
