Well, that was a buzzkill for Dodgers fans.

With the Brewers holding a 2-0 lead in the National League Championship Series, the Dodgers were hoping some home-cooking could right the ship with the series shifting to Los Angeles on Wednesday.

That's Brewers leadoff hitter Jackson Chourio hitting a leadoff home run against two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell on the first pitch of the game for a quick 1-0 Milwaukee lead. Snell left a fastball over the heart of the plate, and Chourio made him pay.

The fans who'd beaten Los Angeles traffic to show up for the 5 p.m. local start barely had time to get settled in their seats before the air was sucked out of Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers rallied to take a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning, but the Brewers punched right back in the seventh with two more home runs off Snell.

Jake Bauers capped an 11-pitch at-bat with a two-run home to retake the lead for Milwaukee 3-2.

Two pitches later, Snell surrendered a solo shot to Garrett Mitchell that extended Milwaukee's lead to 4-2.

And that was enough for Milwaukee to stun the Los Angeles crowd with a 6-2 Game 3 win that featured three home runs off of Snell. The Brewers hold a 3-0 series lead, leaving the Dodgers in need of a historic effort to advance to a third consecutive World Series.

The only team to rally from a 3-0 deficit in MLB playoff history was the 2004 Boston Red Sox, who vanquished the rival New York Yankees en route to their first World Series title since 1918.
