For the second consecutive year, the Milwaukee Brewers are headed to the National League Championship Series.
The Brewers punched their ticket to the NLCS with a 3-1 victory over the San Diego Padres in Game 4 of the NLDS on Wednesday night.
Here's a look at the updated postseason bracket:
The Padres had a chance to strike first on Wednesday, loading the bases with two outs in the bottom of the first inning.
Xander Bogaerts popped out to end the frame, though.
Milwaukee eventually took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third, as Garrett Mitchell's RBI single brought Sal Frelick home.
The Brewers' excitement was short-lived, as Fernando Tatis Jr. immediately responded with a solo home run in the bottom of the inning to tie the contest at 1-1.
Milwaukee jumped back in front two innings later, as Mitchell hit a leadoff triple in the fifth before he eventually crossed home plate with a single from Jackson Chourio.
The Brewers extended their lead to 3-1 in the top of the sixth due to Frelick's sacrifice fly.
While the Padres were unable to put a runner in scoring position in both the sixth and seventh inning, they had an opportunity to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth.
With a runner on first base and one out, Mitchell robbed Manny Machado of a game-tying home run with an impressive catch in center field.
San Diego couldn't pull off a rally in the bottom of the ninth, as Milwaukee ended up emerging victorious.
The Brewers finished with 10 hits as a team and were able to consistently put pressure on the Padres' pitchers despite ultimately going just 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position.
Meanwhile, San Diego recorded a mere three hits while striking out nine teams as a team.
The Brewers will now face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS for the second consecutive season.
