Sean Burke Posts Follow Up Photo for Viral Quote After White Sox Win Playoff Series

Chicago White Sox pitcher Sean Burke delivered a viral quote before his start against the Houston Astros in Game 2 of the AL Wild Card series, and he followed up on it after getting the win.

On Tuesday, Burke described his dedication to the game by saying, "This is my life. No family, no girl, no kids. This is all I do." On Wednesday, he reassured fans that he does, in fact, have a family.

Burke made his postseason debut on Wednesday and put together a decent performance, allowing four hits and three home runs but striking out eight batters before leaving the mound in the fifth inning.

His bullpen took it from there, giving up just one hit and no runs the rest of the way as Chicago won 7-3, marking its first playoff series win since the White Sox won it all in 2005.

Burke and the White Sox will now get a matchup with the Cleveland Guardians in the divisional series, starting on Saturday.
