The New York Yankees aren't expected to part ways with manager Aaron Boone after falling to the Tampa Bay Rays in their American League Division Series matchup, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post .
"I don't expect them to move on," Heyman reported (0:58 mark). "I think he'll be back. He's got a year to go. We've got the lockout coming. Too many reasons for them to keep him, it'd be a lot easier."

Boone owns a 790-565 overall record during his tenure with the Yankees, but the team hasn't experienced consistent success in the postseason.
New York has made the playoffs in eight of his nine years as manager, although it hasn't won a World Series title over that span. The Yankees captured one AL pennant in 2024 before they lost the Fall Classic in five games at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Even though it's worth noting that New York was without star Aaron Judge during its latest playoff run, the team still scored just five total runs across three games while getting swept by the Rays in the ALDS.
That doesn't necessarily mean a change will be coming at manager, though.
