MLB On FOX Delivers Dramatic Viewership Increases For 2026

As Major League Baseball enters the 2026 postseason, the final numbers for MLB on FOX are in, and they're especially rosy.

Regular season MLB games on FOX, largely on Saturdays, averaged 2.35 million viewers. That's up +15% over 2025, according to FOX Sports via Nielsen. That ranked as the best MLB national broadcast season for FOX since 2021.

FOX Sports reported gains for games on FS1, as well. The 2026 MLB regular season on FS1 saw an average of 359,000 viewers, up +11% making it the best MLB season on FS1 since 2018.

FOX also continues to air the MLB All-Star Game, and it scored big for the network.

The 2026 Midsummer Classic was played on July 14, 2026, at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies , and saw an average audience of 8.68 million viewers, up +21% over the 2025 All-Star Game on FOX. That made it the most-watched MLB All-Star Game since 2018. Importantly, it was the most-watched All-Star Game of all the major sports.

Prior to the 2026 MLB season kicking off, FOX aired the World Baseball Classic. The excitement of the tournament-style international baseball series was a viewership hit.

The 2026 WBC averaged 1.3 million viewers across FOX, FS1, and FS2, up a whopping +156% over the 2023 edition of the World Baseball Classic.

FOX's coverage of the 2026 National League postseason games starts with the NL Division Series starting on Saturday, Oct 3 rd . FOX will also carry the NLCS and World Series, which starts on Friday, Oct 23rd.
