The League Division Series have kicked off, and we've already seen some magical moments, dominant performances and teams already eyeing a spot in their respective league championships. With the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves splitting the two games at Dodger Stadium, the series will turn to Atlanta on Tuesday night. However, there is another National League team that is only one win away from the NLCS.
On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman recap all the action from the League Division Series so far, including the Braves and their impressive bullpen navigating a difficult Dodgers lineup and stealing Game 2. They also look at the unfortunate two games for the Milwaukee Brewers that saw controversy with a ball hitting the roof in Milwaukee, followed by Jackson Chourio walking off against Mason Miller in Game 2 that put them up 2-0 in the series.
Later in the show, Jake and Jordan give their thoughts on the Game 1 results in both ALDS games, including Drew Rasmussen completely shutting down the New York Yankees in Tampa Bay and Austin Wells' unfortunate decision on the basepaths. They close the show by highlighting the incredible home run from Chicago White Sox star Munetaka Murakami and how the White Sox also had a fantastic game against the Cleveland Guardians because of their bullpen.
1:18 - Dodgers-Braves tied at one game apiece
