MLB Championship Series 2026 discussion thread: Day 1

Tonight marks the first day of the 2026 Major League Baseball Championship series. Fittingly, the teams with the two best regular season records will kick things off.

The Milwaukee Brewers, looking to win their first World Series in franchise history, are the home team and top seed for the National League Championship series. They will turn to young staff ace Jacob Misiorowski to start the series off on a high note and keep the offense of the dreaded Dodgers in check.

Those Los Angeles Dodgers, looking to three-peat as World Series champions, will have left-handed trade acquisition and top pending free agent pitcher Tarik Skubal on the bump.
