Updated 2026 MLB NL MVP Odds for Pete Crow-Armstrong, Shohei Ohtani After Cubs Star's 3 HR Game

Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong is an overwhelming -1100 favorite (per FanDuel Sportsbook ) to win the National League's MVP award after his three-homer, six-RBI performance amid a 17-5 home win over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday afternoon.

Crow-Armstrong is now hitting .282 (.944 OPS) with 36 home runs, 89 RBI and a .944 OPS. He also has 32 stolen bases, putting a 40-40 season in play. PCA is also third in defensive runs saved (14) among all MLB center fielders, per The Fielding Bible . He's second in OAA (outs above average) with 23 among all fielders, per Baseball Savant .

Crow-Armstrong is having an amazing season for the 77-59 Cubs, who are second in the NL Central and first in the NL Wild Card race. They look destined for the playoffs thanks in part to PCA's work.

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani is second on the MVP odds list at +600. He's a four-time MVP (and reigning back-to-back NL MVP after winning two AL MVP's with the Los Angeles Angels in 2021 and 2023).

For the season, he's hitting .283 (.921 OPS) with 30 home runs and 80 RBI. The star pitcher has also gone 8-2 with a 1.79 ERA (0.95 WHIP) and 95 strikeouts over 85.2 innings. Unfortunately, he's currently off the mound due to left knee and right biceps issues.

Ohtani is still at designated hitter and making a huge impact for the NL West-leading Dodgers (81-55). Naturally, he's getting MVP consideration given his tremendous success this year.

However, the MVP race is Crow-Armstrong's to lose at this point, especially after his fantastic Saturday.
