Some of the best defensive players in baseball are one step closer to a Gold Glove.
The Gold Glove finalists were announced Wednesday, and superstars such as Pete Crow-Armstrong, Bobby Witt and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., among others, jump out from the list .
There are three finalists at each position for each league, and the winners will be announced Nov. 1 during an ESPN broadcast. Here is a look at all the finalists on a position-by-position basis.

Now that the finalists have been announced, attention also turns to the Platinum Glove race.
That goes to the single best defender in each league, and Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller predicted the honors will go to Crow-Armstrong in the National League and Witt in the American League.
Crow-Armstrong's position as the favorite underscores his ability to impact the game in so many ways and why he will, in all likelihood, be the National League MVP as well.
After all, he went 40/40 on the offensive side with 45 home runs, 41 stolen bases and 107 RBI while also leading the league with 119 runs scored. That his defense may be even better than his offense is a testament to his work with the glove.
According to Statcast , he led all of baseball with 26 outs above average. The next-closest outfielder was Ceddanne Rafaela of the Boston Red Sox with 17.
What's more, Crow-Armstrong caught 50 percent of his 5-star catch opportunities, which was the best mark in the league on the most difficult hit balls to catch. He likely would have seen even more 5-star chances if he didn't make plays that would be so difficult for others rather routine with his speed.
He won the American League Platinum Glove last season and is a back-to-back Gold Glove winner at shortstop. He finished with the best outs above average total in the American League with 24.
That was well ahead of Andrés Giménez of the Toronto Blue Jays, who was second at 19. Notably, they both play shortstop.
If Giménez played a different position, he could be a near lock to win a Gold Glove. Instead, he has to compete with the best defender in the American League in Witt.
And it would be anything but surprising if Witt was recognized accordingly for the second straight year.
