MLB Announces 2027 Spring Training Schedule for Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, All Teams

MLB announced the 2027 Spring Training schedule for all 30 teams on Friday.

Every organization participating in Arizona's Cactus League and Florida's Grapefruit League will begin Spring Training on Feb. 19, 2027.

The New York Yankees are set to face the Toronto Blue Jays in their first matchup, while the Los Angeles Dodgers will play the Chicago White Sox.

Meanwhile, the Boston Red Sox will open Spring Training with the team's traditional exhibition matchup against Northeastern University.

It's worth noting that the schedule of exhibition games will depend on MLB and the MLB Players Association finding common ground in their collective bargaining agreement negotiations .

The current CBA expires on Dec. 1 and a lockout could occur if both sides can't reach a new deal.

Multiple MLB players told ESPN that they expect there to be "a lengthy lockout" that impacts next season.

Still, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred provided a positive update regarding CBA talks on Aug. 23.

"We're meeting regularly, which is good," Manfred told ESPN . "Every week, we've had days where we've met with the players. It's early, but we've got a lot of work to do, and we're at it. Look, our goal is to make a deal. We want to make a deal. We want to play baseball next year. We're planning on playing baseball next year."

For now, teams such as the Yankees, Dodgers and Red Sox are looking to go on deep postseason runs to finish their 2026 campaigns.

New York currently holds the No. 2 spot in the American League East standings with an 80-60 record, sitting three games back from the Tampa Bay Rays for the division lead.

The Yankees' success has been particularly impressive considering star Aaron Judge hasn't played since May 31 due to a rib injury, although he's reportedly nearing his return.

Los Angeles is searching for a third consecutive World Series title, maintaining a 9.5-game lead atop the National League West standings with a record of 83-57.

While the Dodgers are just 3-6 over their past nine games, they should still be able to enter the postseason with plenty of momentum.

As for the Red Sox, they sit at No. 3 in the AL East with a 76-65 record. They're 7.5 games back from the Rays, but they also hold the second AL Wild Card spot with 21 regular-season games left.
