Kinley Rasmus and Phenix City, Alabama, continued their Little League World Series run on Tuesday.
Phenix City, representing the Southeast region, defeated Northwest 4-2 in an elimination game.
Rasmus, who once again made history on the mound in her last time out, didn't pitch on Tuesday but went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run in the win. With her second hit of the night, she broke the Little League World Series record for the most hits by a girl.
Southeast got on the board early with a run in the bottom of the first, and it then tacked on two more in the bottom of the third. Rasmus recorded an RBI single to put Southeast up 2-0, and Cam Lee then hit a double to drive her in.
Northwest answered with a run in the top of the fourth, but Southeast made it 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth when Ryker Rasmus, Kinley's cousin, drove in a run.
Northwest attempted to rally in the sixth and drove in one run, but it ultimately didn't have enough to survive in the elimination game.
With the win, Southeast will now play the winner of Great Lakes vs. Metro.
