Brewers fans' $1,000 'Timeless Ticket' purchase in 2015 paying off with World Series seats
The decade-old promotion promised fans a ticket to any future home game, including the World Series.
A $1,000 purchase back in 2015 may be paying off for some Milwaukee Brewers fans over a decade later.
As the Brewers prepare to play in the World Series for the first time since 1982 , there could be some in attendance at American Family Field who took advantage of a unique promotion following a season where the the team finished out of the playoff hunt for the third straight year.
Any fan who plunked down $1,000 for a " Timeless Ticket " — a 1-pound brass ticket featuring the engraved named of the owner — sold by the team were able to redeem it for one ticket to any future home game, which included Opening Day and playoff games. World Series games were also part of the deal.
The promotion had no expiration date, as the team wrote 11 years ago the redemption could happen "this season or 2050." The offer also allowed "Timeless Ticket" holders the ability to purchase three additional tickets at face value.
Some of the 1,000 fans who took advantage of the limited edition promotion have cashed in since the initial announcement. Now that the Brewers are back in the Fall Classic, there are some who held on to their "Timeless Ticket" and are eager to get a seat.
Fans had to submit a form in order to secure their World Series seat and will learn next week which game they will attend and where their seat will be located. "Ticket redemption is subject to availability at time of redemption," the Brewers website says .
The Brewers told 12 News that they "have been working diligently on all inquiries in the order they are received."
The 2026 World Series will see the Brewers play either the Cleveland Guardians or Tampa Bay Rays. Game 1 will take place on Friday, Oct. 23 in Milwaukee.
