‘Finally but too late’ – MLB fans make Seattle Mariners point after Cal Raleigh’s monster home run

Cal Raleigh hit the longest home run of his MLB career in a loss against the Colorado Rockies , and MLB fans had a nuanced response.

The Seattle Mariners and Cal Raleigh have utterly failed to build upon the momentum of nearly making it to the World Series in the 2025 MLB season.

While they haven't been mathematically eliminated yet, it is only a matter of time. 'Big Dumper' has been as disappointing as his teammates, although he did provide some entertainment on Saturday.

In 2026, Raleigh's production has fallen to a quite poor .184 average with 23 homers and 68 RBIs, while the Mariners sit at 72-83, all but guaranteed to miss the playoffs.

That's what fans pointed to even as they were admiring the baseball star's incredible home run hit.

It is bittersweet to see Raleigh finally playing at the highest level when the team's season is all but over. However, a return to form bodes well for 2027, the Mariners and Raleigh will be raring to bounce back.
